That is awesome Michelle! I'm glad to hear that my daughter wasn't the only one who vomitted last week. I got a call from school saying that our daughter threw up twice on her lunch break. She also had some diarrhea earlier in the same week. Maybe a bug, but anxiety certainly crossed my mind.

so ..... the program that Aidan is involoved in, has discovered that if he can cover his face (with his blankie) that he is more likely to respond.... they tried whispering but with less success (i think because it requires close contact)... the speech therapist also suggessted giving the child 30 seconds to respond to a question..... it doesn't seem like very long, but in reality it feels like forever, with this method we have gotten more responses.... when i am around , i have discovered that if Aidan looks at me when he is expected to respond to someone else, that frequently he can answer given the right amount of time... we are very lucky to have access to this program, and i hope that sharing our experiences and the methods that are being used, some of you can benefit as well!!!! :D
